In this longer video I am sharing an entire week of training to illustrate how I am preparing for my initial ultramarathon, the 100-mile Yeti Endurance Run in Damascus, VA on September 25, 2020.
My goal is to complete the 100-miler unsupported in under 24 hours on about 50 miles of weekly running (6 days running, 1 recovery day). Let’s see if I can achieve that goal! Follow my journey and subscribe!
I have been rebuilding my running foundation for the past 12 months following a debilitating plantar fasciitis injury last summer. For the past 8 months, I have consistently averaged 40-50 miles per week on 6 days of running. Recently, I have added lactate threshold workouts (tempo runs, cruise intervals, hill repeats) and neuromuscular workouts (strides). My long runs extend to 25 miles.
Please watch my training for the week of August 10-16, 2020.
Good luck
